2018 Christmas Party

The annual Christmas party, Friday Dec 11, was nothing less than fantastic!  Good food, superb punch and hors d'oueuvres, and the club decorated to the nines. The 2019 slate of officers was installed and the DJ played music for dancing by those not too stuffed to hit the dance floor.

Don and Penny Schindel won the "Basket of Cheer" that should be ample to supply a medium to large party of PYCers!

Here are a few photos snapped by yours truly.  If you have some of  your own you would like to add, please send them to me (ed.roberts@verizon.net).

Chinese  Water Color Class

Randy Pine

Penny Schindel taught 21 of our "artistically inclined" members and guest Chinese Watercolor techniques to use as they completed their first oriental masterpieces.  We may not have any pictures headed to a gallery, but we all had a great time trying our hand at a new art form. Don Schindel was Penny's able assistant.

2018 Wine and Cheese Party

by Randy Pine

About 70 gathered at the club on Sunday June 23 for the annual wine and cheese party to share A Taste of Italy. We tasted whites, reds and sparkling wines from many regions of the "Boot" and were treated to an antipasti table that included appetizers and sweets with an Italian flair.

The raffle, a basket of wines and Italian foods, was won by Angie Armentrout.

A big thanks to the committee who cooked, decorated, and did a thousand other things to make this event happen: Jean Daughtery, Steve Geiger, Henri and Winn Granger, Sherry and Ed Harper, Carole and Ray Nozynski, Randy and David Pine, Frank and Joy Rezek, Penny and Don Schindel.

Blessing of the Fleet

The annual blessing of the fleet was held Sunday, May 20, 2018 at PYC.  All past and present commodores dressed alike, a new tradition requested by Crosby Forrest.

The Blessing was offered by Dr. Mike Condrey, retired minister of Kirkwood Presbyterian church --we really need to work on Mike to see if we can get him to become a member of PYC. Kathy Myers organized the event with a fantastic beef brisket lunch.  Thanks to all who helped.

PYC Paints at Wine and Design

Although Wednesday, March 6,  was a dark and stormy night, 15 intrepid and art-inspired PYC Members met at Wine and Design to make sure they were never without an artistically created wine glass to drink the fine wine vintages served at PYC.  The wine and snacks before and during helped make our arduous task as artistes a little easier.  While the glasses may never garner artistic notice by those who are sober,  there is no denying that their creation gave all of the artistes a great evening.  Watch for these artistic creations to appear at Friday Night Happy Hours in the near future.  Randy Pine

The First Ever PYC BUNCO Party and Sleep Over

New Year's eve the Club held its first BUNCO/Party/Sleep-over. The planned sleep-over and breakfast was, let  us say "un-planned" as the bunco players tired and left early.   No sleep-over, no breakfast. But, everyone had a great time. Click here for photos provided by Terri Fredericksen.
