What's Happening 2019
Christmas Day
The Webmaster wishes everyone a very Merry and Meaningful Christmas!
2019 Christmas Party
The 2019 Christmas party was held on Friday the 13th of December this year. While the day might be thought of as unlucky by some, the party was nothing but fun for all who attended the full-house event.
We are delighted that Ed and Linda Hartman have re-joined the club. Ed once again set up his "photo booth" for members to take commemorative photos at the party. Thanks, Ed.
The business of the evening was the installation of officers and directors for 2019. For the first time that I can remember, the new Commodore, Carol Wood, installed her crew with a very meaningful oath of office.
So far, the only photos that have been received are by Randy Pine and Mike Stephens, and Josie. More will be added if they come in.

The club celebrated Octoberfest a little early this year, Sept 27! The brew flowed and all enjoyed a great evening.
The photos that follow were provided by Donna Toren. Thanks Donna!

Summer Roundup!
It was round-up time at PYC Friday evening August 23 when all the cowboys and cowgirls made a stampede on the club to enjoy music by the Chismcreek Band fortified with a plate of buffalo sausage, beans, and cornbread. Tom Zeitler took the prize as the most originally dressed cowhand.
We all enjoyed Ed Hartman's return as guest photographer. Ed provided the "Wanted" photo set-up where many of us got our mugs shot in true cowboy fashion. We are hopeful that Ed and Linda will return as regular members next year!

15 teams participated in the PYC Corn Hole Tournament held August 11th. Our first place winners were Chicago Corners-Jerry Toren and Kristen Rafolos (Jerry and Donna Toren's daughter), 2nd Place (Almost First)-The Corney-Team Jesse & Carol Wood, and 3rd Place-The Bobs-Bob Craig & Bob Speechley. The weather was beautiful and it was a great day to play and to just sit and watch.

Eagle Steals Fox's Dinner
The Red fox had caught dinner--so he thought. A bald eagle saw an easy meal and grabbed the fox's rabbit, hauling the rabbit with the fox hanging on about 20 feet into the air. The fox finally let go dropping to the ground apparently unhurt.

Blessing of the Fleet
Sunday, May 19, the annual blessing of the fleet was held at PYC. Deacon, Bobby Scott lead the blessing. It was a surprise to some that the Deacon was not our "Bobby" but rather Bobby's son.
It was a beautiful and meaningful blessing.
Boeing 747 Crash
This is not PYC business, but since so many of our member are flyers, I have provided the link below to an amazing video captured by accident on a dash cam. It is horrific!
Derby Night
It couldn't have been more fun had we all gone to Kentucky!
A heated protest is underway between horses #3 and #6. The following 4 photos by Stephens may resolve the issue (in several years).

Annual Sock Burnning
They say it is to welcome Spring. You can't prove it by me. It was a beautiful day but cold and windy. Never the less, PYC enjoyed a wonderful brunch followed by the traditional "Burnning of the Socks."

St. Patrick's Day Dinner at PYC
The spirit of the Irish was pervasive as always at our annual St. Patrick's Day dinner. GREEN EVERYWHERE! Green beer, green socks, green shorts; and if the truth be known, I'll bet there were more than a few green unmentionables on members keen on continuing the spirit later into the evening! The corn beef and cabbage prepared by our Irish-want-to-be chefs, Frank and Shawn, would make a leprechaun rub his belly and a unicorn rise on his haunches to pound the sky (do unicorns eat corned beef? Irish ones do !)

PYC Dines Out
Every month on about 20 of our members gather for a meal at a local (sometimes not so local) restaurant. This month it was Alfredros in Newport News. If you have not joined the group, why not give it a try next month? It is always great fun and food!
Valentine's Day Dinner
We celebrated Valentine's a day late, but that did nothing to hamper the fun! Thanks to Terrie Seitz and Debbie Schneidner. There was the game of nuts and screws and we revealed some of our best kept love secrets.
